Classes and Training.

NW Gun Safety offers various classes to meet your needs. We are even willing to customize a class just for you.  From the foundational basics of gun safety and weapons handling, to a more advanced look at concealed carry and self defense, we can help you learn what you need to be a responsible gun owner.  Check out the options below and if you don't see exactly what you are looking for send us an email or message us on Facebook and we'll either customize something for you or put you in touch with someone who can get you the training, you not only need, but deserve.

Basic Gun 

(This class can be set up as a Group class, Ladies Only, Family Groups)

This class covers the basics of gun safety, gun ownership and gun handling.
This is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance & situational awareness; handgun basics; defensive shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath).
We discuss proper storage of firearms, keeping guns out of the hands of children and gun range / gun store etiquette.

Costs:
$225 Per Person (Classroom and Range) - Lunch included - This is a Saturday only class with limited classes scheduled.

Classroom/Dry-Fire - $150 Per Person
​This class can be offered any evening during the week.

Please Note:  This coarse satisfies the Washington State firearms training requirements set forth in HB1143.   The USCCA is a nationally recognized training curriculum and I am a USCCA Certified Instructor. A certificate will be provided that satisfies these training requirements.

Beyond the Basics

This course will explore how to engage your fighter mindset.
We'll discuss situational awareness, basic conflict resolution, the gift of fear and how to look at violence as a tool and when and how to use it. This training is anchored in the concept of self defense as a responsibly armed citizen.
This class will be full of great 2 - way discussion and some scenario based thinking and problem solving.  If you are going to carry a weapon for self defense, you need to know when to use it. But, when it's time to use it  you have to have the fighter mindset.

Pre-Requisite - Basic Gun Safety Class or equivalent within the last 5 years. Proof will need to be provided.

Costs:
$200 Per Person
(This is a range based class that encompasses instruction and shooting)

You will need a firearm and good holster for this training class and at least 100 rds of ammunition.

Emergency First Aid Fundamentals

 Would you know what to do?
While the goal of this training isn’t to turn you into a Field Surgeon or to bring your skill level up to that of a Paramedic, it is designed to give you the practical knowledge to know what the next steps should be after calling 911 and to bridge that gap between your arrival on the scene and the arrival of EMS.
We teach, overall scene safety and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Patient Assessment: 
The Primary Assessment, ABCs, Secondary Assessment.
• Traumatic Emergencies: 
Field treatment for severe bleeding, sucking chest wounds, broken bones and more.
• Medical Emergencies: 
Cardiac Emergencies, diabetic emergencies, stroke, shock and several more

Classes and Training Sessions:
Private groups, churches, businesses, we can accommodate your needs.  We can come to your site or we can host a training.

You will receive a First Aid Card valid for 2 years, indicating you are trained in Basic First Aid / CPR / AED
(Infant and Child CPR can be included)

Pricing:
1-20 people     $75 – per person
+20 people      $50 - per person

Classroom Only  +     Dry-Fire Training

This covers the basics of gun safety, gun ownership and gun handling.  (Just like the Basic Class, but we don't go to the range and shoot live rounds.)
This is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance & situational awareness; handgun basics; defensive shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath).
We discuss proper storage of firearms, keeping guns out of the hands of children and gun range / gun store etiquette.

We will practice gun handling, stance, grip and trigger control in a dry-fire environment.  (NO LIVE ROUNDS).

Perfect Class to take during the Winter Months

Classroom Only (Dry-Fire) Class Costs:
$150 per person

Family First

In my life, God and family come first. When it comes to family my number one job is to keep them safe. Having weapons in the home and having adults who know how to use them helps to ensure that safety.
BUT... Safety starts with keeping weapons out of the hands of our curious children when our attention is elsewhere. As a responsible gun owner it is your grave responsibility to keep your guns under your control or locked up in a safe manner, out of the reach of those who are precious to you.

Don't teach your kids to be afraid of guns, but rather respect them. We'll talk about this more in our classes.
